It's a shame half the brats don't seem to get it that adults play videogames too. Almost every time I point out that I'm 21 (usually when somebody accuses me of being a kid) there's always some moron who shouldn't have the right to use a computer shouts "PEADO!" in local. Depressing.

whatever the age requirement is, kids will still be able to play this game no matter what the rating is on the game!

Parents need to start communicating/teaching and raising there kids. Don't blame video games or anything else on bad parenting practices. Its up to the parents to raise and teach there kids.

Its easy to point the finger but when it all boils down to it, legally, parents are responsible.

Valid point. Don't blame games, TV, or any other forms of media if you're too useless a parent to point out what's right or wrong.

That shouldn't need explaining in the first place...

in all honestly, that is becomming grey to the society. back when you were growing up (im saying if your 20+ in years) your parents didnt really have this kind of easy access to online/pc gaming. they might have grown up with no electronic gaming at all really, so that statement is true.

but think if your a parent now, as i will be within the next year, i still play games. i still will play GTA when it comes out. why? because i grew up with the games. i wont let my child see/hear/watch/play games like GTA. but i see no harm with having a 10-12 year old play games like guildwars, or final fantesy. why? it teaches a lot more then "heres a magical blue sword, now go wack something", it teaches multi-tasking, it teaches basic fundelmentals parents cant. you cant teach a child to think, the child must learn to use his brain on his own, problemsolve everything. games like GW and other rpg games teach the player to problem solve, "why is this magical blue sword better then this silver dull sword?" is what kids will say. its the parents responcibility to censer what game the child should, or should not play.

Just a quick clarification. The EULA is not a contract, technically you are not bound to anything written within there, as clicking "OK" is not a legally binding measure (yet.) So far, only signatures work.

What the EULA is, if nothing else, is a Cover Your Ass document with a decent ability to dumbfound lower courts and officials, as well as customers, into believing what is written is actually binding.

Beyond that, I return you to your regularlly scheduled thread!
